Happy 26th, Jennifer Lawrence!

The Oscar-winning actress was born in Louisville Sept. 15, 1990, and celebrated last year literally in bed with the Ma Barker of reality TV:

Lawrence became a household name in 2012 when she played Katniss Everdeen in the first installment of the “Hunger Games” series, according to News Hub. “Catching Fire” was released in 2013, “Mockingjay Part 1” in 2014, and “Mockingjay Part 2” last year.

She now commands eight-figure salaries. She was paid $20 million for the sci-fi adventure movie “Passengers” co-starring Chris Pratt. The move about a 5,000-passenger luxury spaceship on a 120-year journey to an interstellar colony is set to open Dec. 1.

The first still photos from the movie are dribbling out, including this one from Entertainment Weekly on Friday:

Lawrence and Pratt Passengers still

Wake us up when Sony releases the really steamy photos of Lawrence and Pratt in the space-sexploration flick ‘Passengers’

Two starsWith 129 days before Jennifer Lawrence‘s $20-million payday hits theaters Dec. 21, Entertainment Weekly’s landed the first still photos (see, top) from the sci-fi adventure about a 5,000-passenger luxury spaceship on a 120-year journey to an interstellar colony. Lawrence and co-star Chris Pratt are rudely awakened 90 years too early.

“Alone in outer space with a giant ship as their personal playground,” pants the magazine’s Sara Vilkomerson, “they begin to fall in love just as it becomes apparent the ship is malfunctioning and endangering its entire population.”

And Delta Airlines passengers thought they had trouble last week!

Vilkomerson asked director Morten Tyldum (Oscar-nominated for 2014’s “The Imitation Game“) what it was like working with two of Hollywood’s hottest stars, and his response was enough to put us right to sleep:

“They’re so great together, and both of them are so hard-working,” he z-z-z-z-z-z-ed. “They take the characters so seriously and bring so much to the roles with charm and intelligence and charisma. They really went for it and it is phenomenal to watch.”

Whatever the chemistry, this much is clear: The jaw-dropping $20 million producers are paying Lawrence for the movie made her one of Tinsel Town’s most gravity-defying actresses.

Speaking of countdowns…

Lawrence’s birthday is Monday; she’ll be 26! It’ll be hard to top last year’s celebration with Kardashian momster Kris Jenner, a surprise bash that produced that infamous photo of the two in bed together. Lawrence, a big fan of of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” told The New York Times her two best friends (she didn’t say which ones) planned a big surprise within the surprise, according to People magazine.

Just as her pals started singing “Happy Birthday,” the actress said, “Kris Jenner comes out holding my cake, which is a pile of s—, with a sign that says, ‘Happy Birthday You Pile of S—.’ My knees buckled.”

And they say the Kardashians are trailer trash on steroids.

Kitchen confidential: Louisville’s favorite daughter says goodbye to her first, pre super-stardom California home

Three starsJennifer Lawrence has just sold her Los Angeles starter home for $1.2 million, 33% more than what she paid for it back in 2006, when her career was just starting to take off. The 1,413-square-feet Santa Monica townhouse has two bedrooms and three bathrooms, hardwood floors, and a fireplace.

Lawrence, 25, hasn’t lived there since 2014, when she bought a Beverly Hills mansion for $8.2 million from comedian Ellen DeGeneres. By then, she’d scored three big hits: “X-Men: First Class” in 2011; “The Hunger Games” in 2012, the first in that ultra-successful franchise, and “Silver Linings Playbook,” also in 2012, for which she won her best-actress Oscar.

Lawrence hasn’t settled down yet. In May, she was spotted kicking the tires on a paparazzi-proof $14.4 million condo in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, where neighbors have included mega Grammy-winner Beyoncé, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Parker on her fabulous photobomber: ‘Jennifer Lawrence deserves every bit as much as her male counterpart. It’s indisputable’

That’s actress Sarah Jessica Parker, speaking to Marie Claire magazine for a provocative new interview where the “Sex and the City” star declared she isn’t a feminist.

“I don’t think I qualify,” she told the magazine. “I believe in women and I believe in equality, but I think there is so much that needs to be done that I don’t even want to separate it anymore. I’m so tired of separation. I just want people to be treated equally.”

Lawrence’s ‘Red Sparrow’ may cast Australian actor Edgerton

Jennifer LawrenceBoulevard reviews the latest media coverage of the Oscar-winning Louisville native in our exclusive Jennifer Lawrence Diary™. Today’s news, rated on a scale of 1-5 stars:

Three starsOne of Jennifer Lawrence‘s next projects — espionage thriller “Red Sparrow” — is inching forward with reports Australian actor Joel Edgerton is in talks to co-star. The film, scheduled for release November 2017, according to Variety, is based on 33-year CIA veteran Jason Matthews2013 novel of the same name.

Deadline, which reported Egerton’s negotiations today, describes the plot:

Red Sparrow“The book is set in contemporary Russia, and state intelligence officer Dominika Egorova (Lawrence) struggles to survive in the cast-iron bureaucracy of post-Soviet intelligence. Drafted against her will to become a “sparrow,” a trained seductress in the service, Dominika is assigned to operate against Nathaniel Nash (possibly Edgerton), a first-tour CIA officer who handles the agency’s most sensitive penetration of Russian intelligence. The two young intelligence officers collide in a charged atmosphere of trade craft, deception, and inevitably, a sexual attraction that threatens their careers and the security of America’s valuable mole in Moscow.”

The Red Sparrow script has a tenuous connection to one of Lawrence’s previous movies: It’s a rewritten version of one originally by the author of 2013’s “American Hustle.”

Lawrence, now juggling multiple projects, turns 26 on Aug. 15.

Edgerton, 42, played Tom Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby,” the 2013 remake based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel set partly in Louisville. Here’s a clip featuring Edgerton and co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan:

Chris Pratt on helping Louisville’s Lawrence with first sex scene: ‘Your job as a leading man is to make the actress feel comfortable’

Jennifer LawrenceBoulevard reviews the latest media coverage of the Oscar-winning Louisville native in our exclusive Jennifer Lawrence Diary™. Today’s news, rated on a scale of 1-5 stars:

Three starsJennifer Lawrence‘s co-star in Sony Pictures’ upcoming “Passengers” has some advice for anyone auditioning to be her next boyfriend. It came Saturday at Comic-Con in San Diego, where Chris Pratt talked about his role in Lawrence’s first on-screen sex scene.

“We’re actors and it’s a big a part of the job,” Pratt said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “Your job as a leading man is to make the actress feel comfortable and you do that by minimizing the amount of people that are there and . . . having a sense of whether or not they’re feeling OK.”

Scheduled for a Dec. 21 release, “Passengers” is about a spacecraft transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet, when a malfunction in its sleep chambers causes two passengers — Lawrence and Pratt — to wake up 60 years early. It’s safe to assume the sex scene takes place after they wake up.

“It was just nerve-racking,” Lawrence said of the scene, during an earlier interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It’s not even about your co-star, because Pratt is so wonderful and lovely. My nerves weren’t about him.”

Instead, it was about being watched by everyone else — “all of the cameramen, all the producers and the director.”

Now, that’s acting!
