Launched by the Oscar-winning actress and Louisville native, The Jennifer Lawrence Foundation helps children and the arts.

Jennifer Lawrence Foundation logoOne of her most high-profile donations came in February 2016, when she gave $2 million gift to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, to establish the establish the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Announcing the donation in a video, top, Lawrence challenged the Louisville community to match it with an additional $2 million.

The Lawrence foundation’s support also extends to:

  • Uspiritus, which helps abused and neglected youth
  • St. Mary’s Center, which serves teens and adults with intellectual disabilities
  • West End Boys School, a free college prep-school for at-risk boys
  • Boys and Girls Clubs
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • Be The Match, which provides marrow transplants from donors for patients in need
